Hi sweet readers,
First of all: Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers worldwide! Today it’s time for an Instagram Monthly Recap, where I share my Instagram posts of the past month. Let’s take a look what I’ve been up to last April!Tweet
What’s up in April?
April was a weird month for me because I couldn’t go to work due to the measures around the corona virus. So I’ve been posting a lot on the gram, which is a good thing because I got a lot of collabs going on during this period.
“It was great to invest more time into blogging and social media, because that really paid off.”
Good thing is also I got to plan a lot of posts ahead, because being stuck at home has its advantages for my creativity. I got a lot of ideas.
April 4th is the birth date of my man. It was weird to celebrate this during quarantine, but we did make the best of it. I baked a cake for him, which was with whipcream topping and chocolate inside. Really delicious.
I got an amazing collaboration opportunity with Dresslily, 2 times. I got the chance to order maternity clothing and accessories to review them. It was really great working with them.
I did enjoy the little things during quarantine: taking a walk in the woods, doing local grocery shopping, trying new recipes, watching a movie with my man, being able to spend more time with my two little bunnies, doing preparations for the baby room, etcetera. Nature is so beautiful, it can give you a boost to take a walk in fresh air and just enjoy the environment without having that “workaholic vibe” going on.
Due to the virus the stores were closed, so I had to place orders online. I ordered for the first time at Boozyshop. It was a great experience. I really love Revolution makeup and I’m very satisfied with my new beauty products. The delivery was quick and I got a personalized message with my package. Thank you, Boozyshop!
During April we did some preparations for the baby room. I made up a moodboard and asked with a poll what you guys think about my Pinterest inspo choices. I’m gonna stick with these colors: light blue, grey, taupe and white. We received already a baby bed thanks to my mom, it was a gift. So beautiful ❤ We ordered it with Vanastenbabysuperstore.nl, and the delivery was fast. Very safe store to order online as well.
I also collaborated with Kayasieraden, a Dutch handmade jewelry store. They offered me a beautiful teardrop shaped, rose gold necklace with the name of my man and my baby. I was really excited about this! I also got the chance to do a giveaway (which is about to close today!), so the winning follower will receive the same necklace. You can still participate, just follow the steps above – the winner will be announced tomorrow May 4th. Kayasieraden is such a beautiful brand to discover and to buy from. You also help charity by placing an order.
Being pregnant during quarantine also resulted in taking a lot of naps. Taking a nap sometimes really boosted my energy afterwards. I was happy I was able to take these because it’s not a small thing that’s going on, there’s life growing inside me and it’s normal that my body needs more rest. I also read that taking naps is very healthy for the baby, so that’s a good motivation as well.
