Sunday Tea Break ~ November Moodboard: A Taste of My Poetry & More Inspirations

Hello readers,

Happy Sunday! October is already in the past, and I hope November will bring all of us some joy. Now that the weather has changed and some areas are even facing a tiny layer of snow, I’m gonna spread the autumn feeling in today’s blog post (hell yeah!). Get cosy with your cup of tea or coffee, we’re about to dive into a world of poetry and pinspirations…

Feeling of autumn…

Like the leaves will fall of the trees
We will rise after the storm has passed
Fresh and clean as we will ever be
After a love that had no chance to last
Whatever has been we let it die
The wind will blow the feelings away
Winter’s coming and I’m saying goodbye
You, my love, were not here to stay.

A little poem about letting go, because in my opinion that’s what autumn’s about. It’s actually the first time I’ve shared my poetry on this platform, I hope you guys like it. Feel free to share your opinion in the comment form, I love hearing from you 😉

I’ve written this poem just in about 15 minutes… I don’t know how or why, but somehow I’ve always been into writing. It makes me calm and it triggers my creativity, explaining my inner emotions on a deeper level. There’s something beautiful about writing. Whenever reading someone’s poem, you’re entering their views, their mindsets, their visions – it’s fascinating. You get to see things from another point of view. You also get to feel emotions you might not even be aware of that you’ve experienced them. Poetry can unlock those feelings by just reading one single line… I love the power of this writing skill. I’d love to be able to learn more about it and get better in my writing ❤

Let’s explore some other poetry, writings that amaze me 🙂

‘Autumn’ by Rainer Maria Rilke

The leaves are falling, falling as if from far up,
as if orchards were dying high in space.
Each leaf falls as if it were motioning “no.”

And tonight the heavy earth is falling
away from all other stars in the loneliness.
We’re all falling. This hand here is falling.
And look at the other one. It’s in them all.
And yet there is Someone, whose hands
infinitely calm, holding up all this falling.

‘My November Guest’ by Robert Frost

My sorrow, when she’s here with me,
Thinks these dark days of autumn rain
Are beautiful as days can be;
She loves the bare, the withered tree;
She walks the sodden pasture lane.

Her pleasure will not let me stay.
She talks and I am fain to list:
She’s glad the birds are gone away,
She’s glad her simple worsted grey
Is silver now with clinging mist.

The desolate, deserted trees,
The faded earth, the heavy sky,
The beauties she so truly sees,
She thinks I have no eye for these,
And vexes me for reason why.

Not yesterday I learned to know
The love of bare November days
Before the coming of the snow,
Bit it were vain to tell her so,
And they are better for her praise.

Dagje gezellig kringloopshoppen & stof tot nadenken

Hallo lezers,

And now I’ll do what’s best for me.

De namiddag werd afgerond met een lekker glaasje porto op een terras (de zon liet zich nog eens zien!). Ik kocht mezelf ook wat leesvoer, de gloednieuwe Glamour.
